Description

One on One Educational Services is seeking Software Developers to join their growing development team. The ideal applicants have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience, with strong backend development skills in PHP and/or Python, experience working with relational databases, and familiarity with modern JavaScript frontend frameworks.

Successful candidates will contribute to building, maintaining, and enhancing web-based platforms while applying clean coding principles, best practices, and collaborative development workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP and Python

  • Build and maintain database-driven features using MySQL and PostgreSQL

  • Develop user-facing features using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

  • Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards

  • Use GitHub for version control, pull requests, and issue tracking

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software

  • Debug, optimise, and improve existing systems

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience

  • Strong backend development experience in PHP and/or Python

  • Solid experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL

  • Experience with modern JavaScript frontend frameworks

  • Good understanding of core programming concepts (OOP, MVC, REST APIs, data structures)

  • Ability to demonstrate good coding practices (readability, reusability, security, performance)

  • Proficient with GitHub (branching, pull requests, code reviews)
